The Knot

It’s anchored in opposing minds.
Embedded in two shrinking hearts
and pulling tighter, rubbing raw

Originally from South Carolina, Virginia lives on the traditional, unceded, and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg peoples in Ontario, Canada. She has just completed her first chapbook, An Adult Child’s Garden of Toads, and is currently looking for a publisher. Her influences are varied and encompass Dr. Seuss, Stevens, Roethke, and Plath.
