I’m not quite sure what one says in these places so I will say what’s in my heart. I loved Danielle like a sister. So happy to spend these last months getting to know her again and meeting her son. We spent a lot of time talking. We are so much alike. And different. We didn’t judge each other but raised each other up.

Mom, This world without you has new rules. I promise to eat biscuits and gravy whenever it’s on the menu and if I can get it in purple, I sure will.

So sorry to hear about Sissy. Will never forget the time at Elmer’s when she put her elbows on the bar and took her bra off with no hands. Another great thing she did involved a towel but won’t go into details.

I used to always not do nothing in a hurry just to hear her say niece, niece, niece!!! Huh? I know you heard me. Yes, I did. Why you acting like you didn’t? Because I love the sound of your voice.

My friend, I often wondered what happened to you. I met you working at the Mexican place and then years later at the recovery tables. If I make it I’m 30 yrs clean this June. I want your family to know you gave it your best shot. When I was lost you steered me home.

Angel when I seen she was going through something I tried to make her smile. She had the most amazing laugh. She had lipstick for every outfit. Always the first to first hour. First person I looked at at the start of each day. I loved being in class with her because she knew the words to every single song.
